Bucky Covington touches another heart!

I receive lots of unique things through my Happy Birthday Covingtons on myspace. I just want to make it clear that the space actually states it is in no way connected to Bucky Covington so some of the request that are made through that site seems a little off the wall. Then there are times when I receive some very heartfelt messages also. I received this a few days back and emailed Michele back to let her know how sorry I was for her loss and that I would pass this letter on, with the hopes that Bucky Covington will actually have the opportunity to read it! I have received confirmation that Bucky will see it. I also ask permission to post on this blog and was granted so by Kelly's mother Michele.

Dear Bucky,

I wanted to say how much I appreciated you. My daughter Kelly Sue was 11 years old and she past away on Friday night 1/23/09 she is my angel. She loved your music so much. Kelly was disabled and on a ventilator. But when she heard you singing her eyes would light up her legs and arms where in constant movement. I know you don't know me or Kelly but she was one of your biggest fans. In July she came home from Cleveland Clinic after 15 weeks in the hospital. You signed a t shirt for her. I showed her the shirt and yesterday when we buried Kelly your t shirt was with her. I hope you understand how important your music is . Kelly never spoke, walked, sung or danced but I know she is now. At her funeral we played I'll Walk because she is doing that in heaven. Please continue to be a inspiration to all the kids like Kelly. I don't want her to be forgotten. She's a beautiful angel. If you get a chance look at my pics and she how beautiful she is. I really appreciate how down to earth you are. Maybe if you come to Jamboree in the Hills in Morristown, OH we will see you. Thank you Thank you Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making my daughter smile.

I am honored to have you honor Kelly that way. You'll never know how much Bucky made Kelly smile. If you need any info just let me know.

A portion of another email~

When Bucky came to Jamboree in the hills last year she was asleep as soon as Bucky started to sing she awoke and was smiling and moving all around. She watched Sawyer Brown who was on after wards and went back to sleep as soon as he was done. It was funny. Every time she heard Bucky her eyes would light up.Her legs would move all around like she was dancing she would throw her arms off her wheel chair we'd pick the back up and she go again. We have cmt or gac on all day long. She loved Bucky more than anyone else. Please tell Bucky I wish him good luck in all he does and can't wait for his next cd. I plan on taking it to the cemetery and listen to it with her. My heart is broken but I can still see things that are important. Please remember Kelly for me.That is the greatest gift you could me.

If you ask why I am felt the need to post this heartfelt letter let me explain.

Most of us "old fans" have seen the real Bucky Covington. We have seen first hand the warmth that generates through his eyes, the soft gentle voice that seems to calm you on your first, second or even third meeting. We have been capitivated by his numerous TV appearances and love his funny little stories and jokes. We felt the lump in our throat when we watched him play the Redneck Guitar on the awards show, just for us his fans. We know he is a genuine person and touches everyone in some small way. This is one of the times everything we already knew gets validated!

Michele and Family, your letter touched my heart and I am sure many others. I am very sorry for your loss. May your Angel never be forgotten. Please stay in contact!
