The Sims act out "I'll Walk" with Bucky Covington

Exciting news for Bucky Covington! His current single "I'll Walk" makes it to the TOP 10! This marks his third single to hit TOP 10 from his self titled debut album/CD "Bucky Covington" released April 17, 2007.

The first hit song "Different World" hit home with everyone that heard it. I always describe the song as giving us a 3 minute mental vacation from our hectic day, visualizing happy times from the good old days.

The next single released "It's good to be us" is a song that energized you. The video was action packed, and fit the song perfectly. It featured Freestyle Motocross champion Cowboy Kenny Bartram. Thanks to IBTBU and a promo contest to gain interest for the song, me and my team won a conference call with Bucky. What a great call!
We did lots of interesting things to promote the song, including making my own video for the contest which included picture of the team!

This week "I'll Walk" is making a steady climb up the charts. I think this could be Bucky Covington's first #1 chart hit. How cool would it be for Bucky's "I'll Walk" to hit number ONE on November the 8th which happens to be Bucky and Rocky's birthday. I think it can be done if we continue requesting to our local stations. Ok back up....not my local station WAVW who refuses to play it! NOTE to Heath West: Hope you take the time to go and see Bucky at the Pineapple Fesitival and talk with him. I know you will change your outlook on him and then maybe you will play Bucky before it gets in the top 10 if you will even play it then. If not I will pass your station phone number to Bucky and see if he will call you while he is in town.

Ok back to the requesting to get it to number ONE. Just call your local radio station and request it. The more spins the song gets the faster up the chart it goes. I can see it now, not only a number one for his birthday, but how about Gold for his debut CD. Now that would really be the best GIFT! I can envision the presentation already, Bucky gets interrupted in the middle of his concert as Randy Goodman (Lyric St) comes on stage with a shiny frame announcing "A GOLD" for record sales. That really has to be the best gift we could give Bucky, so get out today buy another CD and make those request and lets give them Covington boys a gift to remember!

Now to interesting things found on the net. It seems everyday I stumble across something that gives me a "UMMMM" moment. A "UMMMM" moment can be described as something that peaks my interest and makes me go ....ummmmm is that something note worthy to other Bucky Covington fans? Well today's entry for my UMMMM moment was a video for "I'll Walk" featuring the Sims. I can not imagine how long the creator took to complete this project. What I found so interesting is that someone out there found a way to make a video for "I'll Walk" without making us cry. That is something Lyric st failed to do. A reliable source relayed to the fans that Lyric St said the song was too sad to make a video. Still shaking my head about that decision. That makes me wonder if maybe Bucky missed out on Best New Male Artist category because of that decision. Without a video, no activity on CMT or GAC to go and vote for. The first two videos, both made it to #1 on the video countdowns adding lots of interest in the name of Bucky Covington. Without a video fans neglected those ever important CMT and GAC sites. Lack of a video, lack of clicks, comments and searching could have translated to a computer program or those analyzing the stats as a lack of interest. I will never understand why there was not a video. Maybe Lyric Street should look to the fans to help with creative content if they can not come up with a "nice & happy" concept for a sad song. Kudos to the creator of this video!
