Pop Tarts not just for breakfast, a collectors item!

Brown sugar cinnamon pop tarts, those are my favorite. Toasted with butter on the back side.
It's been at least 6 months since I have ventured down the pop-tart aisle at any grocery store. So you can imagine my surprise when I received a google alert yesterday for Bucky Covington and pop-tarts.
I was curious, clicked over to a blog called Shaved Ice Sundays. There it was, right there on the plate, Bucky Covington's name. Bucky is a trivia question on the frosted icing on the pop-tart.
I tell ya, had I not seen it with my own eyes I would not have believed it. I think it is a great testiment to Bucky to be included!

I had to giggle, and then it hit me "that's a collector's item" right! My first thought, get up and run to the grocery store and buy a box.

As I sat here procrastinating about it, how many boxes would I really have to buy to get the Bucky Covington trivia question on my pop-tart?

If I were lucky enough to get the Bucky question, how in the world would I preserve it?

The only way to actually confirm you had the Bucky pop-tart would require you to actually open the box and then the foiled wrapper, which in turn would damage the collectors aspect of your pop-tart!

I thought once opened and confirmed that I had truly hit the Bucky jackpot, I could carefully wrap it in plastic and then use a tried and trusted piece of Tupperware to protect it and freeze it! Ah that's it, Freeze it! I had it all thought out. But then what would I do with it after, let's say a five years. What if I ever chanced thawing it out, would the pretty colorful words run together and make it impossible to read the actual trivia question. I was baffled with what if!

I sat back, took a deep breath and came to the realization that the makers of Pop-tarts really need to put their poptarts in a clear package and until that time, I would forgo running out to buy my boxes of poptarts, I only like brown sugar cinnoman anyway.

I scratched my head, if I could not guarantee that I would get a Bucky poptart by purchasing a box or two of "blue raspberry" how could I make a good blog entry without evidence to show the readers? I rattled off a email to author of shaved ice Sundays and explained my dilemma. I pleaded and begged for her picture. I explained that I am Buck Wild over Bucky Covington and I might have mentioned I am obsessed (maybe not, but I should have) all things Bucky and inquired about her Bucky pop-tart photo. I asked if she would be willing to send her picture. Sure enough she came through this morning and I now officially have my Bucky Covington pop-tart and it is preserved digitially. Ok so I can't toast it, can't butter the back side, but I have my very own Bucky Covington pop-tart. Like they say a picture is worth a thousand words!
